Helen Dunn phillyfitorg@yahoo.comMy name is Helen Dunn and this will be my fifth year with Philly Fit and my 2nd year as Organizer. I started in the world of endurance sports in 2002 by walking my first marathon and I thought it would be a once in a lifetime experience. Instead, crossing the finish line just started me on the path I\'ve been following ever since. Since 2002 I have finished 11 marathons, and 25 half-marathons. I\'ve done the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk, and I\'ve completed two ultra-hikes. For me the it\'s not about speed it\'s about endurance. I like the challenge long distance events bring and the satisfaction of finishing a long, tough event. I\'m proof that anyone can become a marathoner if they have the will to do it. I hope that I get the chance to help other people accomplish this fantasic goal. |

Doreen Antonucci Head Coach Welcome to Philly Fit! I\'m committed to making the yellow team an enjoyable, rewarding and fun group! This is my 4th year with PhillyFit and my second as a head coach. For years, I ran distances ranging from 5K’s to10-milers, but it never seemed satisfying enough. In 2006, I gave myself the goal of completing my first marathon. After researching the best ways to train for a marathon, I decided to join PhillyFit. The decision to do that completely changed my life. I went from an occasional runner to a runner who trains consistently and has since completed 4 marathons and 5 half-marathons. Whether your goal is a full or a half marathon, I hope to assist all of you reach those goals this season.
![]() | Renee Harnishfeger Assistant Coach Welcome to Philly Fit! This is my 5th year with Philly Fit and my 2nd year as the Assistant Yellow Coach. Before I jointed Philly Fit, I never thought I could run farther than a 5K. I discovered that running with such a supportive group made the miles just fly by! It also taught me how to challenge myself and to go outside my comfort zone. Being a part of Philly Fit has changed my life! I\'ve run three marathons, seven half marathons, several Duathlons and some trail races too. This summer I will be completing my first triathlon. I am committed to helping you reach your goals and enjoying this experience as much as I have!

|   | Marjorie Scharf Head Coach I ran my first marathon in 1997 after training alone using a popular run/walk technique. After finishing the Rocket City Marathon (in under 5 hours), I checked \"finish marathon\" off my life to-do list and basically stopped running until I discovered PhillyFit. Since joining PhillyFit in 2003, I have finished two more marathons and I was even an assistant coach for the red group for a couple years. It is amazing how much easier it is to finish those long training runs with supportive people running with you. I believe that those runs can be even easier and more fun using the run/walk technique. As a run/walk team coach, my goal for myself and for everyone on the team is to get into great shape without getting injured. Finishing a marathon or half marathon will just be a bonus! | |

|   | Char Nolan Assistant Coach Char Nolan has been walking marathons since 1998, when she completed her first marathon in San Diego at the inaugural Rock and Roll Marathon. A year later, she realized she was bitten by the bug when she completed the Vancouver Marathon...and she has been walking ever since, participating in countless full and half-marathons. Her tenacity as a walker prevails, as she had a total hip replacement in March 2009, and has already signed up for the Philadelphia (1/2) Marathon. She is the former Head Walk Coach for the Philadelphia branch of \"Team in Training,\" and looks forward to sharing her expertise and humor with Brian Dunn and all walkers. She\'s a wife, mother of two college aged students, and works for Whole Foods Market in Devon, PA where she is the store\'s marketing director. | |
